We are committed to protecting the environment. Our certified environmental management system (ISO 14001) is evidence that we continually try to reduce the impact of our business on the environment. We received the certificate as a first telco company in the Czech Republic already in 2002.
We also reduce the amount of waste generated. We separate waste in office spaces as well as when products and materials are stored for the construction and maintenance of telecommunication networks. We cooperate with REMA Systém, a.s. to provide take-back and subsequent recycling of electro-waste. We motivate our employees to be aware of the environment protection, e.g. we are involved in the Green Company project.
O2 fulfills the obligations of a person who introduces packaging onto the market or into circulation, by having an agreement with EKO-KOM, a.s., an authorized packaging company, concerning the take-back and recovery of packaging waste pursuant to the Act No. 477/2001 Coll. Packaging Act. On its website there is detail information on separation, removal and recovery of packaging as secondary raw materials.

In order to meet the obligations of the amended Act no 406/2000 Coll., we implemented energy management system in accordance with the ISO 50001 standard in January 2016. This will help us create systems and processes necessary to reduce energy consumption and improve energy efficiency.
